French MINOR

Build upon existing French language skills or nurture a budding relationship with one of Canada’s two official languages. In a French minor, you study prominent philosophical, literary and artistic francophone traditions.

When you take a minor in French, you develop language, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, all while broadening your appreciation of the world and its people. This minor is invaluable to anyone heading into a graduate school program with a second-language requirement or seeking work in the federal public service. If you have a passion for literature, film, art and culture, then a minor in French may be the perfect complement to your major.

Program of Study

This minor is open to students in the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Science. Courses for your minor are only one component of the degree requirements you need to graduate. To see all courses required for the minor, check the program of study in the academic calendar.

Requirements can change from year to year. You will follow the program of study outlined in MacEwan University's Academic Calendar for the year you declare your major/minor or the year you are accepted into an Honours program.
