Learning a second language is an excellent way to engage with people and ideas from different regions and cultures. In a world that is ever more culturally and economically interconnected, being able to communicate in another language is increasingly important.

As you develop your linguistic skills, you also gain cultural competency by reading literature, watching films and exploring cultural artifacts in your target language. Studying another language also improves English-language writing skills, as well as developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills across languages.
