STAT 496: Statistical Consulting Project

The aim of this course is to give you experience in statistical consultation. You are assigned to research projects as a consultant, where you consider ethical statistical practice, choose appropriate statistical techniques and communicate results to a non‐mathematical audience.

STAT 496 is a compulsory course (capstone) for all Applied Statistics majors.

  1. Make sure you’ve met the prerequisites.
  2. Email your registration request to the Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics for the department consent and a permission number.
  3. You will be given department consent and a permission number to enrol in myStudentSystem.
