ADVISING

Academic Advising Centre

Academic advisors in the centre provide academic support to students exploring programs and preparing to apply or those considering changes to their studies. Whether it is understanding admissions, general questions or getting started, we’re here to help.

Work one‐on‐one with an academic advisor throughout the Winter term to review your academic progress, understand academic standing and figure out your best supports for upcoming terms.

And advisor will help you:

  • Learn how academic standing works.
  • Review your academic planning.
  • Identify areas for improvement.
  • Check in on your progress throughout the term.
  • Create a plan that supports future terms.

What to expect

You start with a one‐on‐one meeting with an academic advisor to talk through your academic progress, goals and challenges. You meet regularly to check in on how things are going, reflect on what’s working and adjust your plan as your needs change. Your advisor can also connect you with your Faculty or School and point you to other campus supports to help you stay on track.
