COSL 300: Community Service Learning—Building Local Community

Gain work experience and important workplace skills like collaboration, communication, and teamwork while working with a community partner organization on a high-impact, interdisciplinary project. You learn about how to plan work, organize work, engage with a client, and build initiative-taking skills.

Past projects include:

  • designing an immersive VR Art Gallery exhibit
  • developing online mental health and employability programming for newcomers
  • creating a historical exhibit for a community museum

Upcoming COSL projects and a link to the application are shared in the Faculty of Arts and Science newsletter. If you are eligible, you also receive a direct email in the term before the course begins.

* Department consent and permission numbers are provided after successful completion of the application process.

Applications will be accepted until the projects are full or until the term add/drop deadline.
