Guidelines
Admission to the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Behaviour Analysis is based on past academic performance, your resume, reference letters and letter of intent. Follow the guidelines below to submit your application documents by the deadline.
The competitive admission process for the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Behaviour Analysis evaluates and scores each applicant on a 100-point scale; points are calculated based on your AGPA and your application documents (resume, references and letter of intent). Your calculated AGPA is 40% of the overall 100-point admission score.
Application checklist
Apply to the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Behaviour Analysis
You must apply for admission to the program and receive your MacEwan student ID number before you submit your admission documents.

Check dates and deadlines
After you have officially applied to the program, you may submit your admission documents.

Request your references
Download and complete the fillable Reference Request form. You need to provide one reference from volunteer or work experience and one academic reference (preferred) or a general reference if it is not possible to provide an academic reference.
Follow these steps to request a reference:
- Log in to myPortal.MacEwan.ca using your MacEwan username and password.
- Launch myStudentSystem from the Quick Links menu.
- From your student homepage, select My Documents.
- Click on 3rd Party Documents to display your options.
- Click the Reference Form Request button.
- A pop-up window will appear. Fill in the information for your referee. In the Document Type dropdown menu, select PBCBA Academic/Gen Reference or PBCBA Volunteer/Work Reference. The message field is optional.
- Click Done.
Submit your resume
Ensure your name appears on all pages of your resume and convert it to a .pdf. Upload the file to your student record through myStudentSystem.
- Log in to myPortal.MacEwan.ca using your MacEwan username and password.
- Launch myStudentSystem from the Quick Links menu.
- From your student homepage, select My Documents.
- In the Document Type dropdown menu, select PBCBA Resume.
- Click Upload Document. A pop-up window will appear.
- Click My Device to search for your file or
- Drag your file into the box.
- Click Upload.
Download and submit the letter of intent form
Download and complete the fillable Letter of Intent form. Space is provided on the form for your response. Note that the response box is limited to 500 words.
- Log in to myPortal.MacEwan.ca using your MacEwan username and password.
- Launch myStudentSystem from the Quick Links menu.
- From your student homepage, Select My Documents.
- In the Document Type dropdown menu, select PBCBA Letter of Intent.
- Click Upload Document. A pop-up window will appear.
- Click My Device to search for your file or
- Drag your file into the box
- Click Upload.
Graduation Status Letters
You may need to submit a Graduation Status Letter from your current university if:
- you will complete your current program before starting the Post‐Baccalaureate Certificate in Behaviour Analysis
- you have completed your program and are waiting to graduate
You can request a Graduation Status Letter from your university’s Registrar’s Office after you have applied for graduation.
Graduation Status Letter (Eligible)
This letter shows that you are eligible to graduate, as long as you successfully complete your in‐progress courses. You can upload a copy of this letter to us. It will be considered official.
Graduation Status Letter (Complete)
This letter shows that you have completed all graduation requirements. You only need to submit this letter if your conferral date is after the final document deadline.
- Log in to myPortal.MacEwan.ca using your MacEwan username and password.
- Launch myStudentSystem from the Quick Links menu.
- From your student homepage, Select My Documents.
- In the Document Type dropdown menu, select Confirmation of Graduation.
- Click Upload Document. A pop-up window will appear.
- Click My Device to search for your file or
- Drag your file into the box
- Click Upload.
Next steps
Admission decisions
Avoid delays by submitting any outstanding admission documents as quickly as possible and monitoring your To Do List in myStudentSystem for changes or new requests. After an admission decision is made, you will receive a notice from the Office of the University Registrar.
