ENGLISH AS AN ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE (EAL)

Students may be at a different level for reading and writing than for listening and speaking, and in each case, students will be placed in the level best suited to their skill level. To learn more about applying to the EAL/ESL program, please watch this video.

If you are a full-time student taking 3 courses, you will be able to select one reading/writing course, one listening/speaking course and one focus course.

If you are a part-time student taking 1-2 courses, you can choose whether to study reading and writing or listening and speaking. You can even choose to take just one focus course.

Courses

All English as an Additional Language courses:

  • Take place during the day from Monday to Friday.
  • Between the hours of 8:00am – 3:30pm.
  • Each course runs for 1.5 hours in the designated block for 14 weeks.
