VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS

You may need to confirm your status as a student or verify the credentials you have earned, or are about to complete, for a number of purposes. Employers, educational institutions and immigration applications will have different requirements.

You can access verification of enrolment and verification of credential documents on your own through myStudentSystem. Confirmation letters require submission of a form and can take up to a week for processing.

A verification of enrolment document lists your credits, full-time or part-time status, your program and program length.

The verification of enrolment includes the signature of the University Registrar and is on official MacEwan letterhead. It is produced using a secure, authorized login so does not require an additional university seal.

The verification of enrolment can be used for access to student-specific benefits at other organizations, specifically:

  • RESP providers
  • Parental health plans
  • Employer benefits
  • External-to-MacEwan scholarship applications

The verification of enrolment document is not sufficient for:

  • Immigration applications (request a Confirmation Letter)
  • Student loans (talk to a financial aid advisor)
