We are diverse. We are inclusive. We believe everyone has the right to live, learn, work and play in a safe environment.

The Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity supports research, teaching and service work related to sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression on campus and in the community. Supported by the Canada Research Chair in Sexual and Gender Minority Youth Issues, we develop inclusive and responsive policies, support evidence-informed practices and encourage the full and equitable participation of sexual and gender minorities on campus and in society.

We serve all members of the MacEwan community—students, faculty and staff. We can answer your questions about sexual and gender minority issues and support your ideas for initiatives that increase knowledge about and bring visibility to the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

National Queer and Trans+ Community History Conference
Hosted by MacEwan University on May 3 and 4, this conference brings together 2SLGBTQ+ community members, non-profit organizations, heritage professionals, academics, historians and emerging scholars who have an interest in documenting, preserving and celebrating diverse and intersectional queer and trans+ histories in Canada.

Register to attend by: Wednesday, April 24.

I strongly believe that research can be used as a catalytic force to both serve and benefit the public good.
