What do you do that contributes most significantly to your overall wellness?
For me, maintaining a routine benefits my wellness in all aspects, mentally and physically.
How or why did you start with it?
I started it because I didn’t like the path my life was on, and I started small, little bits every day, whatever I could do.
How has MacEwan University Sport and Wellness helped you along the way?
The facility itself is very impressive, and they have everything a person could need. The availability of staff for any of the questions I had was very comforting as well.
What’s been your greatest challenge with it along the way?
The greatest challenge still is pushing past when I didn’t have the motivation to get up and go.
What‘s your favourite memory of this journey?
My best memories are always when I ask for help. Every instance is usually very friendly and makes me feel more part of the community.
What are the two most significant gains you’ve made from doing this?
By far, it’s been confidence and discipline.
What wisdom would you like to share with someone thinking about doing it?
Be kind to yourself. If you don’t feel comfortable right away, that’s okay. Do your best to follow a routine, learn from others, then soon enough, you’ll look back, and starting might be the proudest step you made.

Next is finishing University! Trying new things and learning, always learning.
