Now at the midpoint of implementing Teaching Greatness, MacEwan is thriving and we’ve made impressive progress toward our goals.
It took a collective effort to accomplish so much in just a few years. It’s not often we take time to reflect on all we’ve done, and I encourage you to watch this year’s address to see how far we’ve come.
The progress we’ve made belongs to all of us. Faculty and staff, students, alumni, community partners, industry and governments have all played a part in helping MacEwan University thrive. I want to thank you for your commitment to our institution, and the hard work you do to help us succeed.
Our theme of the State of the University address this year is Trendsetters and Trendbreakers – a key pillar in Teaching Greatness. It reflects how the MacEwan community asks bold questions, collaborates, finds innovative ways to deliver an exceptional undergraduate education and identifies meaningful ways to support our community.
In a world that is restless and full of change, it is our culture of innovation that drives our success.
You’ll also hear about what’s next as we look ahead to achieving our 2030 Teaching Greatness targets.
Our future is bright: from new programs and growing enrollment to meet Alberta’s growing demographics and demand for more talent to support business, industry, and communities across Edmonton and Alberta, to enhancing our already-strong reputation and watching the new School of Business building taking shape for 2027 – I am deeply proud of what our community has accomplished and is working toward.
