Wendy Brost is MacEwan University’s new associate vice-president, Campus Services.
Brost is a longstanding and respected leader at MacEwan, bringing more than two decades of institutional experience and over 30 years in post-secondary ancillary services to the position. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in shaping Campus Services into a complex, integrated portfolio that supports both the student experience and the university’s broader strategic and financial sustainability.
“Wendy has the depth of experience that is so important for the role she is now taking on at MacEwan,” says Lara McClelland, vice-president, University Relations. “MacEwan’s campus will be increasingly animated with our residence, food services and events, and she is the person to lean into that energy and activation. We are also looking at innovative ways to increase revenue across our services, and she is uniquely positioned to take Campus Services into the future.”
Brost’s leadership has been defined by transformation to meet evolving student needs, strengthening financial performance and advancing capital and infrastructure priorities that enable long-term growth. She has led initiatives that modernize service delivery, strengthen partnerships and reinforce ancillary services as a key contributor to campus vitality.
Brost is also recognized for her ability to lead through complexity with clarity and purpose. She directed MacEwan’s emergency housing response during the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire evacuation and led Campus Services through the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring continuity of essential services while advancing operational resilience.
