CFA Society Edmonton holds an annual case competition in March. The competition tests students’ business and financial acumen while providing an opportunity to network with local chartered financial analysts (CFAs) and industry professionals.

Students are challenged to apply skills they have learned in their business programs to solve a business problem and provide a strategic recommendation. The selected case typically has a business strategy focus with a strong financial analysis component.
