MacEwan’s Security Services is partnering with the Edmonton Police Service to encourage MacEwan cyclists to register their bikes with the Edmonton Bike Index.

Edmonton Police Services collects 25-30 bicycles each week and only 24 percent of these are returned to owners. The Edmonton Bike Index aims to change this statistic by deterring bike theft from the moment you purchase your bicycle. And if your bicycle is ever lost or stolen, you have a better chance of recovering it if it’s been registered.

Edmonton Bike Index is a web-based platform where you can register your bike with a smartphone or desktop computer. You can register a bike in about two minutes—and it’s completely free.
