Cancellation Policies

Things happen, and availability changes; if you need to cancel or reschedule your course, lesson, league or training session, or cancel your membership, make sure you know the policy.

Aquatic, Fitness, and Recreation Programs and Services

General Policy

  • Before the withdrawal/regular registration deadline, a full refund
  • After the withdrawal/regular registration deadline, no refunds or transfers (without medical documentation)
  • Missed days are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling

Withdrawal Deadlines

Withdrawal Deadlines can be found in the program guide or in the course alerts on Details for programs and services without listed withdrawal deadlines can be found below.

Note: Registration may be available after the withdrawal deadline pending space.

Withdrawal deadline is 90 minutes before the class begins. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after the deadline.

Registered Private and Package Private lesson withdrawal deadline is 7 full days before the lesson begins (not including the start date).

No refunds will be issued if the appointment is canceled within 24 hours unless medical documentation is provided.

General policy applies to all recreation leagues and tournaments. Sport clubs are non-refundable.

Memberships and Passes

Ongoing Monthly and Annual Memberships

  • Can be cancelled any time by emailing (include full name, address, membership number, reason, and date on which the membership is to be cancelled) or by coming in person to complete a cancellation form.
  • Cancellation requests must be in writing, they will not be taken over the phone.
  • There are no refunds due to lack of use, it is the member’s responsibility to cancel.
  • A pro-rated refund will be given from the date of withdrawal.
  • Ongoing monthly memberships with an unpaid declined monthly payment will be withdrawn at the end of the month. NSF fees are assessed.
  • MacEwan Employees/Corporate Discount: memberships will be withdrawn by Sport and Wellness if employment status changes. Proof of eligibility is required yearly.

Drop-In Rates and Passes

Drop-in rates and passes (including 10 visit passes, 1 & 4 month passes, etc.) are non-refundable. 10 visit passes can be transferred to someone else.

Locker Rental and Towel Service

These are non-refundable.
