Visitor Wi-Fi

MacEwan provides multiple ways for visitors on campus to access free Wi-Fi.

MacEwan has a Wi-Fi service for campus visitors and guests that offers free, secure and easy internet access. Whether you are a conference delegate and attendee, event sponsor, vendor, keynote speaker, visiting lecturer or family visiting a student on campus for special events, we can keep you connected.

Accessing visitor and guest Wi-Fi

Visitors can access our on-campus Wi-Fi by following these steps:

  1. A daily passcode can be found on digital display kiosks. See the map below for kiosk locations or go to Technology Support, the Library, the Allard Technology Centre or the USC Welcome Centre. You can also find the passcode on all digital displays across campus.
  2. Once you find your nearest kiosk, text the daily passcode to the indicated phone number presented on the kiosk.
  3. You then receive a return text message containing your temporary, unique username and password, which you can use to log in to the visitor Wi-Fi on your device(s).
  4. As an on-campus visitor, you are then able to enjoy free, secure Wi-Fi access for the day.

Eduroam

Eduroam (EDUcation ROAMing) is a wireless network service that allows students, staff and faculty from one post-secondary institution to access the internet while visiting another post-secondary institution. When connecting to the Eduroam Wi-Fi network, enter your full email address as your username and your regular password (i.e., the password you use to log in to other MacEwan services).

To make access easier, download the Eduroam certificate installer for your device.
