Host a WAGS Event
Bring the WAGS program to your event or campus space.
Wellness dogs and their handlers can attend select campus activities to help create welcoming, supportive moments for students. Requests are reviewed based on volunteer availability, event suitability and scheduling.
Where WAGS works best
WAGS dogs participate in a variety of campus events that support student well-being and community connection. Events that may be a good fit include the following:
- student wellness initiatives
- orientation activities
- stress-relief events during midterms or exams
- residence or Student Life programming
- community-building events hosted by departments or faculties
Because WAGS sessions are designed to be safe and positive for both students and dogs, each request is reviewed carefully.

Preparing your space for WAGS
To help create a comfortable experience for students, volunteers and dogs, hosts are asked to provide a space that supports calm, respectful interactions in the following ways:
- a quiet or low-traffic area when possible
- an enclosed area (a room with a doorway or a clearly partitioned section of an open space)
- signage, provided by WAGS, that indicates a dog is present
- clear space for students to approach and interact with the dogs
- access to water for the dogs
- an area identified for dogs to take a break if needed
- a clear and nearby route to a pet relief area
- a staff contact available during the event
- clear start and end times for the session
Additional details may be confirmed once your request is reviewed.
