Through the Dr. Sherrill Brown Distinguished Research Award, we recognize faculty members who have made notable contributions to research and creative activities at MacEwan University. If you would like to put forward your contributions, please apply for this internal award.
MacEwan tenured or tenure-track faculty members can apply for the Distinguished Research Award.
This award's eligibility requires three letters of support from professional peers and a sustained record of peer-reviewed publications, creative/artistic work, or undergraduate research leadership. If you are a new investigator, research achievements of significant impact will be considered. Members of the Distinguished Research Award Selection Committee cannot apply for the award in the year they are on the committee.
The Provost presents the award at the spring convocation.
University Faculty Scholarship Awards Adjudication Committee Terms of Reference
Apply for the Distinguished Research Award by following these steps:
- Log in to PeopleSoft.
- Choose the Research tile.
- Navigate to the My Grant Application page and select Distinguished Research Award from the list of awards. Choose Start a New Application to begin a new application. Applications that have already been started can also be accessed from this screen.
Note: Distinguished Research Award will only show up in the list when applications are open.
