MacEwan University School of Business offers study tours and field schools during spring break or early summer. Immerse yourself in a new environment and learn about international business in ways that are impossible to simulate in the classroom.

General information

Study tours involve group travel. You travel abroad for 9 or 10 nights and follow a programmed schedule.

To be eligible for a School of Business study tour, you must have:

  • a GPA of 2.0 or higher (i.e., be in good academic standing) for the term prior to the tour
  • completed 24 MacEwan University or post-secondary transfer credits by time of application.

If you have participated in a study tour previously you must have 75% or higher in the professionalism component to apply for a second study tour.


While these tours are primarily designed for business students, they are open to non-business students who are interested in exploring the world.

  3. Attend an information session which will feature all the business study tours that are scheduled for Spring 2024.
  4. If you are ready to enrol, please contact an academic advisor (business@macewan.ca), and they will add you to the tour if you meet the requirements. This special course/tour is open for enrolment until February 15, 2024.

Where in the world … Japan and Hong Kong
