BACHELOR of COMMUNICATION STUDIES
Publications and Technology
Expect to be fully immersed in the world of words and the technology for modern storytelling. Writing articles, managing a production schedule, creating visuals and multimedia, collaborating with fellow wordsmiths and conducting research at home or abroad.
Publications
Writing, editing and reviewing. Canadian politics, international affairs and sustainability issues. Digital and print strategies. Our students gain practical experience in all aspects of publication with unique, student-directed projects.
Social, Health, and Communication Studies Research (SHCSR)
SHCSR is an international, peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for academics to share ideas and information on social, health and communication studies issues. The journal is a joint venture, published by MacEwan's Bachelor of Communication Studies program, MacEwan's Ukrainian Resource Development Centre and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

Edmonton Edge
Edmonton Edge is the project of the MacEwan Bachelor of Communications program where classes 397 and 497 create a digital newsroom that focuses on beat reporting, opinion writing, data and analysis. This news service is produced by students and supported by faculty. We aim to tell local stories about the community around us and provide a safe environment for emerging journalistic talent.
