BACHELOR of MUSIC
TUITION, FEES & AID
Going to university requires a significant financial investment: tuition fees, service fees, books and supplies. It all adds up. But with a bit of planning, you can enjoy all that student life has to offer, even while balancing work and your studies.

Technology Requirements
First year
If you are a first-year student planning to take Bachelor of Music courses that rely on technology (such as recording, music tech courses, songwriting and composition), you may choose to, but are not required to, supply your own laptop. Please see the Technology Specifications document for more information on laptop requirements. Alternatively, in your first year, a number of desktop computers with the required technology are available in the Music Technology Lab, the Allard Hall Computer Commons (Room 11-437), the Robbins Health Learning Centre Computer Commons (9-321), the Library and various computer labs on campus.
Second year
If you are a second-year student taking courses that rely on technology, you must supply your own Apple laptop, peripherals and software. Details and mandatory specifications are available in the Technology Specifications document, which is updated each year in July.
Note: If you plan to take less technology-driven courses (such as General or Performance), you can use a Windows-based laptop or a slightly older Apple laptop.
Search our scholarships, awards and bursaries database for details on awards that may be available to you. New applicants and current students can apply for awards through myStudentSystem.
Be prepared to pay tuition and applicable fees by the deadline each term. A payment will be applied against any outstanding balance from a previous term before being applied to current or future tuition and term fees.
