EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT

CERTIFICATE

Hands-on, practical experience is a key component of this certificate program. You have many opportunities to connect what you’ve learned in the classroom to real-life scenarios in the field.

Classroom behaviour support, professional and ethical classroom practice, theories of child and adolescent development, assistive and adaptive technology—gain a solid foundation in theory and practical strategies to support instructional, behavioural and social learning. You will be able to apply what you’ve learned in your practicum, which will be arranged to be near your home community at the end of your program.

Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR)

If you are currently working in the field you may qualify for Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR) based on your work experience for credit in program practicum.
