EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS and RESPONSE

CERTIFICATE

Emergency communications officers are a vital link in emergency situations and can be the difference between life and death in a crisis. There is a growing need for highly trained professionals with the skills and confidence to keep a level head under pressure.

MacEwan University's Emergency Communications and Response certificate gives you the skills to successfully evaluate, dispatch and coordinate police, fire and emergency medical services. You are trained to meet the demand for skilled professionals who can multi-task, operate complex and specialized technical equipment and think quickly and critically in a stressful environment.

This full-time, eight-month certificate program accepts applicants each fall. In the final month, you participate in a field placement that allows you to put theory to practice in different types of communication centres.
