Do you want to live downtown, but hope to save on rent? MacEwan University has collaborated with local developers to give students a discount on nearby housing. If you’d like to live close to campus, this is your chance.

How it works

Participating in the project is simple, but it’s important to act quickly and understand what’s involved.

  • Reach out to the property owner to find out unit availability and lease terms. A limited number of discounted units are available.
  • Discounted units are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may change as units are leased out.
  • All rental agreements are made directly with the property owner.
  • The property owner may ask for proof of enrollment, which you can access in MyStudentSystem.

Rental agreement responsibilities

As the renter, you are fully responsible for understanding the terms of your rental agreement. Students are encouraged to review all details carefully and confirm that a property meets their needs before signing a lease. MacEwan University is not involved with rental agreements or any related issues.

The Centre for Public Education Alberta has developed an information guide for renters.
