The final Art Buffet of this year happens on December 3. Drop by the MAG from 12-4 p.m. to relax and increase well-being through creative expression. While you’re there, be sure to check out the MAG’s current exhibition, New Routes: threads across space and time, on display until December 6.
Get your toes tapping at MacEwan’s Big Band concert on December 4. Students get discounted tickets to music and theatre shows, which make a great gift!
Make sure to grab your free student ticket and cheer on your Griffins Hockey teams on December 5 (men’s) and 6 (women’s).

The Office of Sexual Violence Protection, Education and Response is hosting a chat and craft focusing on boundaries on December 3. If this is a topic that resonates with you, consider submitting work you completed for a class to the Sexual Violence Student Research Award and Forum.
Mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3. RSVP to attend the moderated discussion about inclusivity in our community and stop by one of the interactive booths by the Welcome Centre in Building 7 and at the second-floor entrance to the Library in Building 6.
Register by December 19 to become a Champion of Diversity and Equity (C.O.D.E.) volunteer – the nine-week training program starts in January and will explore the theory and practice of human rights.
Academic dates to keep track of
The last day to withdraw from regular session classes without academic penalty is December 9, which means the push to final exams, which run December 11 to 19, is already on. Feeling like you could use some last-minute study tips? Check out an Intro to Uni Skills session on December 2.
Campus closure
Campus will be closed on December 25 and January 1. The gym and pool will be open holiday hours from December 26 to January 1, so you can still pop in for a workout.

Half-day Early Bird Orientations for new students starting in the Winter term take place December 6 and 17, and a full-day New Student Orientation will be held January 2.
