Informative workshops and panels, hangouts and shows—participate in a variety of events during Pride Week.
In March each year, the MacEwan Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity hosts Pride Week, celebrating the diversity of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and allies. This awareness-raising and celebratory week aims to create and support a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in the university community, and build bridges to the broader Edmonton community.
Pride Week 2026: Queer Realities
From March 9 to 13, 2026, Pride Week brought the MacEwan community together for a week of reflection, celebration and connection. Some came seeking joy, community and belonging. Others arrived carrying frustration or anger at the world around them—and many felt both. Pride Week made space for all of it through events that celebrated queer experiences, energized participants and strengthened community on campus.
Missed it this year? Keep an eye out for Pride Week events returning in March 2027.
