Counselling on campus
On-campus counselling is free and confidential. Professional counsellors are available from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The MacEwan University Health Centre (MUHC) provides comprehensive care for your physical and mental health needs.

UWILL
Online support
Uwill offers online counselling, 24/7 crisis support and wellness programming. Registered therapists are available via video, phone, chat or messaging.
In addition to counselling, you can access specialized support for academic accommodations, sexual violence and peer-to-peer connection—whatever kind of help you need.

Concerned about a student?
If you are a MacEwan faculty or staff member concerned about a student who is in a non-emergency situation, you can refer that individual to the Student of Concern team through the Help Desk on myPortal. Please follow these steps:
- Log in to myPortal.
- Click on MacEwan Help Centre in the Quick Links.
- Click on the Student of Concern tile.
- Fill out the form fields and click send.
- A Student Support Coordinator will receive the referral and reach out if other details are required.
The Student of Concern Team is made up of professionals from Student Affairs, Campus Security, Wellness and Psychological Services, and the Office of Investigations. It identifies, assesses and offers appropriate support to students who may be at risk or pose a risk to others.
