Workforce engagement

We support our employees by focusing on performance development. Rather than conventional performance appraisal and review processes, employees and their managers participate in Workforce Engagement (WE) conversations that foster strong working relationship between leaders and employees. Through ongoing collaborative conversations, expectations and meaningful targets are established and agreements for the way forward are clear for both parties in the conversation.

Access to University Learning Activities Fund

Staff and faculty can access funding each year to cover tuition for MacEwan University Learning activities, including credit courses, non-credit and School of Continuing Education courses, Conservatory of Music programming and Sport and Wellness programming.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is a new video-course based platform, similar to Lynda.com, that gives you access to LinkedIn Learning’s complete catalogue of over 16,000 courses taught by industry experts in software, creative and business skills in seven languages.

Working Minds

We’re starting a conversation around the importance of mental health—and creating a healthier campus. The Working Minds program is designed to address and promote mental health and reduce the stigma of mental illness in a workplace setting and is available to all MacEwan staff, faculty, and out of scope team members.
