We can’t promise you spring weather in March, but we can give you a calendar full of indoor events to keep you warm – and entertained – all month long.

Between Pride Week, Music Season, our ongoing Ukrainian connections and more, March is a big month for events at MacEwan. Here are some of the highlights.

Are you ready to celebrate Queer Joy? That’s the theme for this year’s Pride Week at MacEwan, kicking off with an opening ceremony on March 6. Throughout the week, shop the Rainbow Market and give yourself the joyful experience you deserved during your school years with Elementary School Retake Day and the Retro Queer Prom. For a complete list of Pride Week events, visit MacEwan.ca/PrideWeek.

MacEwan’s connections to Ukraine are as strong as ever, and we’re showing it this month with a series of events through our Ukrainian Resource and Development Centre (URDC), including student speaker panels on propaganda and Ukrainian creativity. Visit the events page on MacEwan.ca/URDC for full event listings.

March 20 to 24 is Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Week, an opportunity to celebrate and learn how to support victims of hate crimes, stand up to discrimination and more. Read about all of this year’s events at MacEwan.ca/EDIWeek.

Are you (or do you know someone) considering studying at MacEwan and want to learn more about our programs, campus life or career options? You’re in luck: Info Session Week is March 8 and 11. You can take a campus or Residence tour and attend sessions on individual programs, finding your career path and more. Learn more at MacEwan.ca/InfoSessions.

Looking for a little entertainment to get you through the last few weeks of winter? The 2022/23 MacEwan Music Season continues with performances for every musical taste, including jazz, a capella and contemporary. Get your tickets at MacEwan.ca/MusicSeason

If theatre is more your speed, get your tickets for Spring Awakening, which runs March 29 to April 2.

And if you’re in a literary mood, you might want to check out the Billeh Nickerson Poetry Reading on March 7 and a Q&A with MacEwan Book of the Year author Rivka Galchen on March 24.
