As a MacEwan University alumni, you receive a discount on room rentals at our campus in the heart of Edmonton. Boardrooms, breakout rooms and plenary spaces. Theatres, atriums and a conference centre. We have rooms of all shapes and sizes, just right for the social or work-related events you are hosting. Plus we provide onsite catering and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment to ensure your special event is a success.

Enjoy an evening of theatre or music performed by MacEwan students. Alumni can purchase tickets to music events for only $5.00/ticket and to theatre productions for only $15.00/ticket. The alumni discount is not available at Tix on the Square.

Get in the game
Cheer on your Griffin athletes! With an alumni all-access pass of $75, you can watch men's and women's volleyball, basketball, hockey and MacEwan hosted playoff games for all Griffin varsity sports.
Active made easy
Alumni receive more than 25% off annual or monthly memberships at the Christenson Family Centre for Sport and Wellness. If you choose the annual membership, you'll be swimming, spinning, training and staying fit for only $42.80/month, plus you receive complimentary parking while using the facility. If you don't want to commit to a full-year membership, you can receive a discounted monthly rate of $55.00/month. You also receive discounted rates for spouses or partners.

Career and grad school services
job Board
If you are a recent graduate (within two years), you can access job opportunities and advice on MacEwanLife, the university's career portal. Or, if you are an alum who would like to hire a MacEwan student or graduate, you can post a job on the job board.
Create a MacEwanLife account and either post a position or discover hundreds of jobs listed by potential employers, learn about work-related events on campus and access a variety of career resources.
Meet a career advisor
Alumni are now able to access career advising (up to five appointments) at Careers and Experience. This includes career planning, job search strategies, graduate and professional school planning, resumé and cover letter review, LinkedIn profile review and mock interviews.
Appointments can be booked on MacEwanLife.
Back to school
Recent alumni (who have graduated within the past two years) may book a graduate or professional school advising appointment with Careers and Experience through MacEwanLife.
Our alumni can also apply for a $1500 MacEwan Alumni award to help fund full-time graduate or professional studies. Search the Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries list for "alumni award."
Paperwork and more
Academic records
An official transcript of your academic record is maintained by the Office of the University Registrar. If you are currently enrolled in a course at MacEwan or have been enrolled in a course within the last 12 months, you can request your transcript online through myStudentSystem.
If you are not a current student, you can complete a transcript request form and send it to the Office of the University Registrar.
Display your credentials
If your original parchment has been lost, destroyed or damaged, complete a Parchment Replacement Form to receive another copy. You can also request a replacement parchment if you have a Grant MacEwan Community College parchment that you would like updated to say MacEwan University. Additional documents will be required if you are requesting a new parchment to reflect a name change.
Request a letter
When applying for jobs, volunteer opportunities, graduate studies scholarships or other activities, you may be asked to provide proof of your education. MacEwan University provides confirmation letters on request and you can print a verification statement through myStudentSystem.
T2202 and U-Pass
The T2202 is the official certificate issued by MacEwan University for tuition and education tax credits that can be claimed on your Income Tax Return. T2202s are usually issued in February following the tax year. If you took courses at MacEwan from January 1, 2004 onwards, you can download a copy of your tax receipt using myStudentSystem.
U-Pass receipts are also available through myStudentSystem.
If you are unable to access myStudentSystem or to view or load your T2202 or have any other technical issues, contact Technology Support.
Get an alumni ID card
MacEwan alumni are eligible for an Alumni library card that allows you to borrow items from MacEwan Library and NEOS partner libraries.
To request your alumni library card, email library@macewan.ca or call 780-497-5850.
Keep your MacEwan email address
Do you like your MacEwan.ca email address and want to keep using it? As a recent graduate, you can continue to use your email for one year. To keep access after that, email Tech Support with the subject line Alumni email request. Be sure to include your original student email address in your request.
